Three steps to a tidy recipe

  1. 1

    Share

See a recipe in your feed or a group chat? Tap Share and pick Nonnabook. Or paste a link, or take a photo.

  2. 2

    The nonna tidies

Title, photo, ingredients and amounts, steps and times. In another language? Translated, with cups turned into grams.

  3. 3

    Cook

The recipe lands in your book, ready for cook mode, the weekly plan and the shopping list.

Everything your kitchen needs

Smart import

From the post to your book, no typing

Share from Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp, paste a website link, or snap a cookbook page or a handwritten card. The nonna reads it and hands back a clean recipe you can edit before saving.

  • Recipe websites save free and unlimited
  • Fields worth a second look are gently marked
  • Didn't work? It's kept as a bookmark with the source

Cookbooks

A shelf of your own

Sort recipes into books and collections: "Mom's", "Shabbat", "Quick dinners". Search by name, ingredient or tag, and a "made it" counter remembers what you loved.

  • Unlimited books and collections
  • Search by what's in the fridge
  • Optional cloud backup with Apple or Google

Recipe page

Clean, readable, no life story

No ads and no scrolling past essays. Clear amounts, servings that scale in a tap, kosher labels, and the original source always linked.

  • Amounts update when you scale
  • Meat, dairy and parve labelled
  • Export to PDF or share as a web page

Cook mode

One big step at a time

The screen stays on, you swipe between steps, and tapping a time in the text starts a timer that also shows on the Lock Screen.

  • Timers from the text in one tap
  • Live Activity on the Lock Screen
  • Tap an ingredient in a step to see the amount

Nonna+

Planning

The week planned, Shabbat sorted

Drag recipes onto the days of the week, or let the nonna suggest a menu from your own recipes. Hosting? Dishes scaled to your guests, a meat/dairy check and a cooking timeline.

  • Plan the coming week for free
  • The nonna plans a week or a holiday meal
  • What to cook on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Shopping list

From the menu to the store

Add a recipe or a whole week: duplicates are merged and the list is grouped by supermarket aisle. Send it to the family WhatsApp in one tap.

  • Amounts merged automatically
  • Grouped by aisle
  • Sent to WhatsApp as a readable list

Ask the nonna

Out of cream? The nonna knows

Ask about the recipe in front of you: a substitute, a parve version, half the amount, or how to prep ahead. Apply the change to the recipe in one tap.

  • Answers for this exact recipe
  • Works mid-cooking too
  • 5 free questions a month

Made for the Israeli kitchen

Questions

How do I save a recipe from Instagram or TikTok?
Tap Share on the post and pick Nonnabook (the first time you may need "More" in the app row). The recipe opens in the app to check and save. You can also copy the link and paste it in the app.
What is smart import, and why is there a limit?
Smart import is when the nonna reads free text, a video, a photo or handwriting and turns it into a recipe. Each one costs us money, so the free plan includes 5 a month. Recipes from websites that publish a structured recipe save free and unlimited.
Is there an Android version?
iPhone only for now. Android is planned.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without signing up. Signing in with Apple or Google is only for cloud backup and moving between devices.
What happens to my recipes if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Your recipes, books and lists stay; only the Nonna+ tools go back to the free limits.
How do I cancel or restore a purchase?
Cancel: iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Restore on a new phone: in the app, the Nonna+ screen › "Restore purchases".
I shared a recipe that isn't mine. Is that OK?
Saving for personal use, with a link to the source, is exactly what the app is for. When you send a recipe to others as a web page, the page credits the source. Rights holders can ask for removal at the support address.
